Media Literacy in the Digital Age
Media literacy is the ability to read, understand, and evaluate media messages. In today’s world, almost everyone uses a smartphone, watches videos, or scrolls on social networks. But do we really understand the messages we consume?
Media is not neutral; it is designed with intentions—to inform, to entertain, or sometimes to influence. Being media literate means recognizing hidden messages, questioning stereotypes, and identifying fake news. Personally, I believe that media literacy is essential for young people, because it gives us the tools to use technology responsibly and to become conscious citizens. Without it, we risk living in a world of illusions instead of reality.

Your point about misinformation really stood out to me. Sometimes we share without verifying and forget the impact it can have.
